Whenever i install police ped mods or car mods,Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City updates and my mods are gone except for the script mods

Strange, never done that for me. Are you using it via Steam? 

Use a mods folder and make sure you have OpenIV.asi and an asi loader.

The only game that should do that is GTA V.. I've owned both the retail and steam version of EFLC and ever encountered this issue. Cna you elaborate more on this issue? Like how do you mod the game for example?

This is for GTA IV. 

im running the steam version of the game and i mod the game by first backing up the files then downloading a car mod then i put it inside mods folder then i run openIV then i go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty City\EFLC\TBoGT\pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img. I open vehicles.img and replace the original car with the car i downloaded. i edit vehicles.ide and handling.ide  and thats it. and if i cant find the car in that location i go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty City\EFLC\pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img. When i install police ped mods i go to the same directury but edit pedprops.img and componentpeds.img

You don't need a mods folder for EFLC, a mods folder is only needed for GTA V. You can mods GTA IV and EFLC like normal (using open iv and replacing game files), that's why your mods aren't showing up because they're not running off the edited files in your mods folder, they're using the game files (which are unedited)

Oh, i misread, i thought you meant you was using the mods folder like GTA V users. my bad.

You are making sure that the vehicle mods you're using are correct right? The police files in EFCL/TBoGT section is for the police Buffalo and Stinger.. and not for the standard patrol cars (Stanier and Merit). 

for the standard police cars (stanier and merit) i go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty City\EFLC\pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img and for the police buffalo and stinger i go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty City\EFLC\TBoGT\pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img but first time when i was modding EFLC i put the car files of the merit and stanier in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty City\EFLC\TBoGT\pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img and then i saw the mistake and just added them to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty City\EFLC\pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img folder without removing the stanier and the merit from the tbogt models

hmm, then it should work. When i used to mod IV/EFLC i used to use SparkIV, have you tried using that rather than OpenIV? 

i only used openIV 

Try using SparkIV and see if that fixes your issue. For all the years i was modding IV (2010-2014) i always used SparkIV and never had an issue with it. 

when i had a cracked version of gta 4 i was using open iv and i never had a problem with it,in game mods will appear and now they do but the game updates and the mods are gone.Open IV Sucessfuly adds the mod to the game and it works but the game updates and the mods are gone

Honestly, this has gotten me stumped. you should be able to patch it to 1.1.2.0 and then mod it.. what you're describing is what happens with GTA V, which shouldn't happen. It may be a long shot, but it might work.. this is the mod folder method for GTA V, try using it with GTA EFLC and see if it works - http://openiv.com/?p=1132 

If not, then I have no idea how to help in fixing this issue, your issue is completely new to me =(

this issue only happened once maybe next time it wont because i had installed 2 different police ped packs.If it happens again im gonna let it update and then install mods nad run steam in offline mode.

You can set your game to never update by right clicking on the game in your Steam library - go to properties and there should be an update options, select the never update and it shouldn't download updates. 

I tried installing mods again and they work and the game didnt upload thanks everyone for your support
