I really recommend you Waukegan LDO and it's variants (LDO black, extended and so), looks pretty good in texture designs as well as many departments use it in cars paintjob:

There's several sites out there that has some of those fonts, one of those is "dafont.com", otherwise try to google the name of the fonts.

+1 Lonestrangers helpful font guide has always been a godsend for me. Great fonts to start with, I've downloaded all of those and they can be extremely helpful whether I'm doing fictional or matching font from a specific law enforcement agency.
