Disabling constant motion

Recommended Posts

Many parts of this website contain a lot of objects that cycle; gallery headers, featured downloads, etc. I've started to find this extremely irritating, as even when I'm focusing on the object itself, it shifts to another preview before I can look at what I want, forcing me to repeatedly click the back button. At the same time, when I try to browse the site, I'm being distracted by constant motion. I have looked through the settings, and I haven't found any way to turn off the cycling. I am wondering if anything can be done about this, as it is slowly turning me away from the site. Has anyone else had this problem?

There are no plans on our end to change this, I'm also unaware of any plans by our forum software provider to change this.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

What I believe Cyan is saying is, there is no option to disable it. There is no plans for any changes to be made to widgets that have a cycle motion on them, there is also no plans from the developers of the Forum Software to do so either.

🕵️‍♂️ Always watching, always waiting.

This userscript (raw will download it) will disable the auto scroll of the gallery and download widgets.

Or to remove them entirely, use AdblockPlus et al to remove these elements.

You are using the WRONG right theme!

How exactly do I use that script? I'm running Firefox since Explorer and this site do not get along well.

Doesn't really seem to be working. Sometimes it stops the scrolling, but other times it doesn't.

Edit: Well, consider this a request to the mods to consider adding a disabling option to cycling objects. I cannot stress how irritating it gets.
