Need Some Help (OpenIV)

Featured Replies

So I know this sounds pretty dumb of me, but I didn't make a backup of any of the original vehicle files in OpenIV. So I just copied new vehicle files over a few of them. How could I possibly get the original police car files to revert back to?

Do you have the steam version? if so just right click on the game in your library and then go to properties>local files>verify integrity of game cache. This will revert all the modified files back to the original. If you have the retail version someone else who has it can help out with that cause I am not sure.

As above, you'll have to verify your game files and return them to original state if you want them back. After that, the best idea is to create a mods folder. copy the archives that you're going to be dealing with, and use those and leave the original files alone. As long as you install the OpenIV.asi mod, the game will load the files under the mods folder instead of the base game.
