I am experiencing a whole computer crash at random moments when playing GTA V LSPDFR. There are times where I can play for about a half hour without any problems and then suddenly my whole computer will freeze. Sometimes I only get about 5-10 minutes gameplay before it crashes. I have removed all mods except LSPDFR, I have reinstalled LSPDFR multiple times, I did a fresh install of the game as well.  nothing seems to work. I should mention that my copy is legitimate ( Retail Version). I have tried running it in full screen, and windowed mode. I honestly do not believe it has anything to do with my system. I will provide my specs below anyways.

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

CPU: AMD 8350 (OC) 5.6GHZ

RAM: 16 GB GSKILL Trident Extreme Gaming Ram 2400Mhz

GPU: Gigabyte Readon R9 290 4GB DDR5

PSU: Bronze Cooler Master 850 Watts

For one that CPU Clock is unneccessary! You will never get to that speed and it lessens the life of the CPU. That could be a reason your crashing, as i have a 8350 clocked at 4Ghz and it runs fine for me. Could be a problem within your PC there is a free diagnostic program that runs diagnostics on everything in your computer, could be a faulty equipment although it could be a heat issue. do you have air or liquid cooling?

I apologize I misstated my CPU clock speed, it is 4.6GHZ not 5.6. I am running an XSPC open loop liquid cooling system. Heat is not an issue for me.  I know it is not a hardware problem as I have played multiple games on all of their highest setting including GTA V. Let me also mention that I have already beat the game with my system and did not have one crash. It was not until I installed the LSPDFR mod that it begun to crash.

UPDATE:: I have changed some information in my Ragehook.ini file and it seemed to have help with the whole PC crash. Now when it crashes it will prompt me to an error report, and I am able to just close out of it and reopen without a computer reboot.

UPDATE 2:: I have tried to play twice since my last post, and it seems that the computer freezing is still happening. The first freeze was about 30-40 minutes into gameplay, and the second didn't even load story mode before it froze up.

My brother has the same processor, never been able to get it stable.

Your issue is most likely not being caused by LSPDFR, especically if you're saying it didn't even load to story mode once.

Remove LSPDFR and play GTA V normally and see if the problem still occurs.

What other mods and plugins do you use besides LSPDFR?
