Hi all. So, it appears I've run into a little problem with GTA. I can start the game up just fine, but after I go to the station and select a skin, things crap out. They screen goes black and I crash to desktop. Now, this varies between it happening right when I go into the skin selection mode, 5-10 minutes after I start doing missions, or, it will freeze, black screen for a couple seconds I can resume, this can happen 1-5 times before it actually CTD's. Suggestions?

Can you do me a favor and post a Diagnostics Report (the tool can be found in my signature, run it as an administrator), as well as your system specs (processor, graphics card, RAM, etc.)?

It wouldn't be my video card or anything, cause I ran it fine last night. This is a new thing.

Be that as it may, I like to be thorough.

The diagnostic tool isn't working or something, there is no "Start" button.

I have a Geforce 570, Dual i7 processors and 8 gigs of ram.

What do you see when you run the Diagnostics Tool?

Long narrow box, at the top it says "This program will detect any issues that may be causing GTA IV/EFLC and LCPD First Responce not to start.

To continue press "Start"

Does it look like it is getting cut off at the bottom of you screen? Try moving the window up a little bit.

I've done that, still nothing.

I don't see any error tbh, do you use any other mods? Are you running the game as admin?

Especially the point where it asks you to install two components that LCPDFR requires, even though you already have them, redownload and reinstall, just to make sure it's the right ones. Report back when you've done that and it still doesn't work.

Where can I find the scripts folder? Also, I was missing ScriptHook.dll and ScriptHookDotNet.asi so I reinstalled LCPDFR and they're still missing. Infact, I'm not seeing anything to do with LCPDFR in my GTA Index. I may have found the problem, it was installing into my C drive and not my D drive. Installed it into the proper location, now they don't work. Fuck.

OKAY. Here's the dealio. I can run it from my C drive, but that's the one that causes black screening. Last night, somehow, I was running the game from my D drive, and I need to figure out how to run it from my D drive.

Ugh. I need help. I reinstalled everything, completely deleted GTA, reinstalled it, installed LCPDFR 9.5 ONLY. And it keeps happening.
