I have a question as far as requirements towards the mod... 

Do I have to unlock all the characters before I install lspdfr? 

And a question for everyone who started on lcpdfr and now that lspdfr is released they are using lspdfr-

Is getting gta v worth it for lspdfr? are they going to stop supporting lcpdfr and updating it?  I already have gta 5 for my xbox one... So idk if it is worth it? 

Also, I have been reading around to see that features from els are preloaded into lspdfr? does this mean that I dont need ELS?

Opinions anyone? Thank you!

No, just past the prologue/first missions to unlock free roam, any of the 3 characters can be used to play LSPDFR since you only need them to get to a police station. LCPDFR has stopped being worked on since the release of LSPDFR, the development team are focused on LSPDFR now. yes, it's worth getting not only for LSPDFR but for mods in general, it's better than the console version by far because of mods.

GTA V and LSPDFR will be better than GTA IV and LCPDFR because it's more stable and you can do a lot more, just make sure your computer can run GTA V =)

1. No, the characters you have available to you since they're just models. The mod simply allows you access to use them. You don't need really any of the three seriously unlocked but it'd be nice to have.

2. GTA V is very much worth getting for LSPD:FR. It's much more stable of a game than IV ever was and it also is a better game entirely than IV.

3. I'm unsure of their plans about LCPD:FR since I only used it a little back in the day but you'll have to ask someone who really knows.

It's worth it though. LSPD:FR at this point is quite good and getting better over time. Each new iteration of it brings new things to the game. Down the line it'll be even more fleshed out than LCPD:FR.

Depends on your download use. if you have crappy download speed i'd suggest the retail/boxed version. if your download speed is pretty good then Steam. Plus if something goes wrong you dont have to re-download you can just verify cache and it'll revert back to a vanilla setup. 

So essentially it's just what you prefer, they're both the same. 

Makes no difference, really. They're both the same game just two different ways to download it. Steam downloading of the game is more stable and also has the other features that come with the game. The only real bonus of the Social Club version is that they get patches a little bit earlier than the Steam version does.

Depends on you position, if your not in any rush to get GTA V or LSPDFR then I would wait for two reasons, first LSPDFR is still very young and features are limited if you wait you give them time to sort out bugs and add a whole lotta goodies.  Second you could possibly get GTA V cheaper when sale times come around again.

Totally worth it. 10x more stable than GTA IV, i only had 1 crash ever with LSPDFR, and that was a rare issue anyways.  Also, yes they have stopped working on LCPDFR. LCPDFR 1.1 is the final version for GTA IV, and won't be updated any further. That was confirmed by i believe ineseri. Also about ELS, no it is not preloaded into LSPDFR or GTA V, it's just that the default police lights are already really good in GTA V and an ELS isn't really needed. Would be nice to have, but it's not needed. Also you can find a couple of really good mods that enhance the police lights and make them more brighter and better looking. One feature from ELS that returned however ,is that you can run your lights without the siren on. Overall, LSPDFR is much more stable, GTA V itself has much better optimization than GTA IV, the world of GTA V is much more fun to police in, imho aswell. Well worth it.
