As we are all aware there are constant new patches being rolled out by Rockstar, for me personally I purchased the game via the rockstar social club and would like to know if there is a way of rolling the game back to the previous version in order to play with the mods rather than impatiently waiting until ragehook and lspdfr do new releases.

Indeed there is - Make a backup of your game .exe's and certain files. Not sure which ones.

Backup GTA5.exe, GTAVLauncher.exe and the update.rpf.

but if you back those up and restore them, it just redownloads the update again

 

Guys, there is a thread stickied right in the support section on how to avoid Rockstar updates.

It shouldn't if you add ' -scOfflineOnly' to commandline.txt in GTA V directory.

Even with this my ragehook doesn't even load up and stops working, I'm beginning to think there is no way to avoid updates lol

that's what i had to do and finally got it to go, was a trick though cause you have to at least let it load up once to register then go back and do it all
