Norton is kinda shit, sadly. Can you disable it and try again? I'd really recommend you switching to a more reliable anti-virus system.

Unless it was obvious: LCPDFR does not contain any virus at all.

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

You shouldn't have to worry about anything containing malware, spyware, or viruses, in the downloads section of the site. Although, if the author of the modification has not stated anything about false positives, and you pick up a detection, that's when you should report it. LCPDFR has it's own detection system that should still be running AFAIK, so you should be safe.

Sorry, didn't know that.

Usually when viruses create its own copies and names them similar to this.

Name is never important when you're downloading unknown files. It's the download location that matters. And a lot of websites that let users upload custom files also double-check for malware, don't know if LSPDFR does it (i know they used too check all the files but i think they removed it) but GTA5-mods checks all their files now before greenlighting it.

Open up Norton and go to Settings in the top right corner. Then click on Antivirus and then click on the "Scans And Risks" tab. You should see "Items To Exclude from Auto-protect, SONAR..." If you click on the configure next to these, you can select an entire folder that you can download LCPDFR into without Norton deleting it. (You may also want to exclude it from scans too)

Make sure you only download mods you know are safe into the folders you tell Norton to exclude from Auto-protect, download mods you are not sure about into a separate folder.
