This thread is not here to make a decision based on the poll, but just to get some information about how many people would want this, and how many people who would not. This is also not just about pirated copies, but also retail versions that use a separate launcher.

Keep it so pirated copies are useless.

Lacking an option for not fixing it if it turns out it doesn't work.

 

Quite frankly my opinion is if it happens to work with pirated versions then it makes no difference to me.

If it doesn't work, tough. Don't waste development time fixing an issue legitimate owners don't have to care about and may not even be easily fixable.

LSPDFR works with the retail game and launcher. If someone has a legitimate, legal copy which requires a different, incompatible launcher, feel free to post it as a bug (and make sure to show something that indicates that the game really was purchased, because otherwise people will assume it wasn't -- at the very least, I am not aware of any legal versions that don't use either Steam or the RGSC launcher). As for pirated versions, to my knowledge there are no plans to make it work with them, because we aren't going to go out of our way for that.

LCPDFR / LSPDFR is developed on purchased, legal copies of the respective GTA version. This will never change. We like to support the developers who make it possible to develop the First Response modifications.
