So iv downloaded a few vehicle textures. added them with openiv and when i launch game RAGE, it starts to download update, which im guessing if the files i just replaced. Any idea on how to stop this? 

I haven't installed a vehicle texture yet, but are you told to create a folder called "mods" in your directory in order to install the textures with OpenIV? If so, you should try to install the textures into the specified .rpf in the main directory so that it replaces the default files (remember to back them up) rather than adding new ones, so that there isn't any confusion while RageHook is launching.

I noticed this was the case with siren mods, according to a tutorial I watched, but I have a siren installed to x64 > audio > sfx > RESIDENT.rpf > vehicles.awc, rather than in a mods folder in my main directory. (It works)
