[LEARN TO MOD] RageHook (video to get started VS2013 setup)

Featured Replies

Hey guys.  Recently I've been getting hit with messages about modding, how to, and sometimes... even how to get started...

In short - if you know nothing, figure out what type of coder you are.  Do you learn better tinkering(altering someone elses code), do you learn better from example exercises?  Or are you a book guy?  Only you know you... so figure that out, and start to learn C# with your prefer'd method.

For those that know how to code a 'bit' but don't feel comfortable with the RageHook (in terms of setting it up, making sure it works, and getting started coding...) feel free to watch this video using Visual Studio 2013 to get you started.  It will cover the basic setup, use one of the example.cs in the SDK, and show you how to start tinkering today.

Enjoy.

Help my channel grow and I can explain to my wife why this addiction to coding is a good thing!

Thanks, as someone who learnt to code in Java I found this really useful. I guess now it's my turn to get to know C#.

Give right into the code man!

Thank you for taking the time to create and share this, I'm sure it will be invaluable for many members.

Not a problem.  I was getting hit with a lot of questions - at least some people will be able to start tinkering right away.  I look forward to doing more if I keep getting common questions I'll be staying on top of it.  The more modders we get going on RageHook the better! :D

Won't take you long depending how much Java ya know.  Its pretty straight forward stuff, and a really powerful API from MulleDK19 and LMS.
