Ok so i downloaded lcpdfr 1.1 and els 8.5 and installed them into my gta 4, however neither one of them will work for some reason so then i figured maybe they are buggy, so i downloaded LCPDFR 1.0d and it wouldn't work neither, does anyone know what is wrong like am I missing some files or something? I downloaded and car and a trainer and the trainer works fine and the car is in the game.

lol :P okay now thats because the scripthook in the Trainer is outdated. so what you wanna do is go into your ELS V8.5 folder ( the one you originally downloaded in the zip file..not the one in your GTA IV folder) and grab that Scripthook and drag it into your GTA IV folder and replce the old one. then you should be good to go. because if im right your current Scripthook is probably dated 2010. and you want the one dated 2011 :)

okay lets start with a clean copy of GTA IV. make sure the game works and that you are able to play. if the game plays good then install the lcpdfr. please disable your virus protection because some programs will block certain parts of the police mod from being downloaded and installed. if that happens you are dead in the water right there. once you download and install run the mod to make sure its working.

this video is a decent one to help install the mod.

 

hopefully you can get your game going. if it does please come back here and i'll help you install ELS 8.5 and Trainer without conflicts hopefully.
