A Great Disappointment

Featured Replies

I finally got my hands on a GTA V PC version, now for my own. No gaming at my friend's any longer, I thought. What could go wrong, I thought.

Of course, it went wrong and the damn thing crashes on me after 10 minutes of playing. I'm disappointed like hell, considering my PC is enough to run it at least on medium. No LSPDFR for me in the near future, it seems. Gotta go get a life or something, it seems.

This is not a support topic or PC advice topic. I just need a place where I can tell that story and not be met with surprised laughs that a 22-yo-man with work to do still plays games :D

I'm nearly 28 and still play games

Check your Event Viewer and see if it gives you any information on what causes the crashes. There have been complaints about Memory Leaks causing crashes after a short amount of time playing - could this be the case for you?

Yeah, well, some games, like RTS, for example, are comparable to chess in terms of challenge. But for the majority of people around here games are for children only...

Must have something to do with the hardware. Overheating, something like that. But right now I have no means to get some new stuff and by this autumn I should be in another city for studies, which probably means no time for playing.

Close the door, get headphones and tell people you are teaching yourself computer coding and reading.  Shuts em up :)

Gaming is just another hobby.  No different then any other thing people do because they enjoy it.  Non gamers just don't get it and never will.

They complain because it isn't fun for someone watching you play on the computer all the time.  It isn't social enough for others.  For us anti-socials it is a perfect way to pass time.

Yep, that one is true, I'm not a social person. But seeing how GTA V won't be available to me anytime soon, I might as well change my lifestyle lol

As I've gotten older I've gravitated more towards RTS/strategy/grand strategy games. However still gotta get my classic game addiction fixed; GTA and Mortal Kombat.

However I'll be going full on,  16 yr old  nerdgasm when Star Citizen comes out. Going back to my gaming  roots of no shaving, 24 pack of mountain dew, and not going out for days!

The military would be ashamed of me for what I've become!
