Could you give a more detailed, step by step guide to making the dispatch.meta file compatible with other mods that change that file? I'm afraid I don't understand it at all.

Hello! In your GTA5-Mods.com entry of this mod, you state that "This download is exclusive to LCPDFR.com and GTA5-mods."

Does that mean that it should not be posted on other sites?

I'm just asking because I was thinking of posting it on GTAUniverse.com (providing proper credit of course) :)

That's exactly what it means, unless you make some substantial edits. I don't like people reuploading my mods without even changing anything. I am more than happy to help others by letting them base their mods off mine, but reuploading without changing anything is a no-no.

Pretty much. It means you are not authorised to post it on any other site

EDIT: Yard1 is a minute faster than me... :(

I hate to ask again, but can you explain how to make the mod compatible with other mods that change the dispatch and vehicles files? I have no idea what "You can easily make a compatible version - just search for "ADDED BY LSSD MAVERICK MOD BY YARD1" and copy the data to the file you wish to make it compatible with"

I don't understand where I'm meant to search it or what that even means that I do? I want to make it compatible with Custo's The Sixth Star mod and Olanov's On the Beat mod

Open Yard1's dispatch.meta file with notepad or wordpad. Search for "ADDED BY LSSD MAVERICK MOD BY YARD1". You'll see this sentence 2 times and inbetween a few lines of text that makes the 'sheriffmav' spawn in the countryside. Select these lines, between the "ADDED BY LSSD MAVERICK MOD BY YARD1", and copy them. Go to your new dispatch.meta file, the one you want to make compatible, and paste it at the exact same place as it was before. So in between the "VEHICLE_RESPONSE_ARMY_BASE" and the 'polmav' lines in the POLICE_HELI_1 section. That's about it.

Ah, thank you very much, now I inderstand! Thanks a lot man!

Any idea if it's spawnable?

By the way: Anyone with non-Steam versions may have issues with the recommended install process (non-Steam versions with OpenIV.asi will tolerate an update.rpf that's modified, but not an x64e.rpf that's modified). The solution is to copy vehicles.rpf from x64e.rpf/levels/gta5 to update.rpf/x64/levels/gta5; you can then change stuff around in the vehicles.rpf you just put in update.rpf. This will also be better in the future when OpenIV moves to keeping update.rpf vanilla and having a copy at /mods/update.rpf which is what gets changed.

How do I do copy vehicles.rpf to update.rpf/x64/levels/gta5? I found no copy&paste function in OpenIV.

HI Yard1, I have also got "Law Enforcement Improvements 1.9" installed and within that I have "Added LSPD Detectives" which uses a Dispatch.meta file. How can I make yours work with that?

As it says in the description:

You can easily make a compatible version - just search for "ADDED BY LSSD MAVERICK MOD BY YARD1" and copy the data to the file you wish to make it compatible with.

Just copy the data in the brackets to the same place in the other file.
