I just downloaded GTA IV for this mod

what do i need exactly to be ready to play?

It's all included in the download file of LCPDFR.

All you would need is LCPDFR itself, which can be found in the downloads section. Apart from that, it's all personal preference.

Thanks for the response, i got it off piratebay due to my insufficent funds. I will download it but i'm looking to get a dodge charger as my unit with the light and sirens and i want to be a detective instead of patrol. what will i need for that?

Well, for a start I would recommend buying the game, as quite a few mods (including LCPDFR) won't work on cracked versions of the game.
