What is ELS?

And is there any game manual / tutorial of some sort? It's hard to be new to this and understand how it works when you don't get some sort of introduction... Or have I missed it?

What does ELS mean? How do I get the lights working on cars I have downloaded? I have figured out that you can press the "/" and change light mode on the standard cars, but it's not working on the ones I have downloaded...

Doesn't matter, its about a separate modification, not LCPDFR directly, as well its not support related, the troubleshooter would have told you this, Moving thread to: Gameplay/Misc Modifications.

ELS is Emergency Lightning System

You need it with some cars.

ELS Is NOT Part of lcpdfr it is a separate mod

to install els you place all the files in the main directory of gta and its installed but i cant remember the keys

Please refrain from double posting, just edit your posts if you have more to say later. ELS is a mod you have to download if you want to use ELS-ready cars. You can use cars that don't support ELS just fine without it. version 5 typically is more stable and AI police like to use it more often than version 6.

theres still the door bug cuz ELS for some reason makes your vehicle indestructible :P but v6 crashes alot, i downgraded to v5 which is pretty much the same thing except i haven't had any crashes whatsover.

Apparently ELS applies, un-applies and re-applies textures and model "extras" that can't be seen in order to make the lights blink, so with each blink, the car resets itself to its original state. I don't mind the bug actually.
