Featured Replies

So i have some simple audio editing software and a theme i wanted to add into GTA IV intro like after you click play. i have the IV aud already extracted anf the IVaud editor. now it shows 2 files in the file a short and a long both at 0:50, is that the maximum length we can go or since its like a loading theme we can go further? also Ik where i go to uplaod the audio script or w/e u wanna call uit but how do i actually go about uploading the mod once its done?  and any advice you can offer would be appreciated id like my first mod to be a good one :)

No, I've got one at like 4 minutes long.

And you'd upload it like you'd any other mod - go to downloads then hit upload in the top-right corner of the content container.

I'll quote this from my reply to a previous forum thread like this one:

You will need to use Andrew's IV Audio Editor v1.0 (the ones used to make sirens don't work with LOADING_TUNE.ivaud). Audacity works for converting the song: just save the song to your computer, preferably as an mp3, import it to Audacity, clip it if you want to (or just use the full song), then export it as a "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16 bit PCM," with whatever file name you want. Don't split stereo to mono like you would with sirens, as that will distort the sound and it's not necessary anyway.

Then, open the ivaud editor, open LOADING_TUNE.ivaud (File > Load), and right click to replace both audio tracks with the song you converted with Audacity. Save it (File > Exit), put it back in LOADING.rpf, and you're done.

Hey pal, it won't work. I have made a loading screen mod, and it works amazing. Just GTA-IVaud isn't the way, I would have copied and pasted the instructions to make the loading screen sound in my mod, but I am not currently using my personal PC. For now, download this, it has a text file with instructions on how to make your own mod included:

Enjoy :D
