Importing my own skins

Featured Replies

Ok im going to start off saying, i didnt put this in the support section because its not support with lcpdfr. its about my own car skins. Ok, so i know how to mke my own police car skins with Paint. But im having problems installing it in the game. I dont know if its because I dont have the right dodge charger or what. For example, when I am done with my skin, i save it in my desktop as a PNG image. And it is just of the out side of the car by the way. No lights or windows. So im able to put it in the livery part in spark iv but when i press save and go in the game, it doesnt work. I hae tried to install it 10 times and it doesnt work. im starting to give up but I want my own skins. When I import a skin does it have to be a .wdt or .wtf? Thanks. maybe you can use Teamviewer and try to install my skin for me. thanks alot in advance. Heres some skins i tried to install. ones for dodge charger (the one with no clor just text) and the other 2, well ones the windows and ones the car for the tahoe and they dont work.

This belongs in the GTA IV content modification section because you're modifying content... my god... did you use MS PAINT to make those? I'm speechless... Moving.

Well, without intending to offend; it looks like something you finger painted in art class. Try getting a friend with Photoshop experience to do those for you.

I don't know why people insist on using paint when you could at least be using paint.net, GIMp or http://pixlr.com/editor/

In terms of your problem, what do you mean they aren't working? If you are replacing the right image and then saving it and then saving the archive after you are done, there shouldn't be a problem.

Make sure you have added +livery to the vehicle in the vehicles.ide too if it has multiple liveries.

no, im using paint.net, not paint. lol. and i mean it doesnt show up in game. imimporting my PNG image. am i supposed to do that?

Make sure that when you've imported the skin, click "save and close" then "save" then "rebuild" otherwise it'll revert to the standard textures

@ lilmar, i use Paint.NET and the overall result's are NOT that, when making line's, use line/curve, you can make the line's curve
