So...I'm having a bit of a problem making a skin. I figured this was the appropriate forum because it's content modification. Anyways: I've made myself a skin. If I export the skin as dds dxt5...it becomes quite pixelated and, well, ugly. If I export the skin as A8R8G8B8, It looks fine. My bit of research has told me that the A8 format of dds is...bad. If I export the skin as PNG, it gets converted into DXT5 upon import to the wtd anyway. I'm also experience a problem with with my cars not spawning, the ones that are using the A8 format DDS. Does anyone know if gta 4 can handle A8 dds textures? Any knowledge is helpful in regards to this subject. :)

It can handle them but the wtd will be way larger (thats why cars doesn't spawn) which is the reason why most people use DXT5 which maybe looks a bit worse but works.
