LCPDFR Diagnostic Tool: Log Check

Featured Replies

So , I had to factory default my PC. So I go to re-install everything and when I run my Diagnostic Tool, everything but the Log Check is fine. I read another topic on this same issue, but it was from 2013. It said, to delete my LCPDFR.log and retry the installation check. I don't seem to have LCPDFR.log. I installed 1.0d_2 manually. I also read that this version of LCPDFR and vDH PoliiceHelper are not compatible. I have no idea whats going on. Diagnostics_19.2.2015_21_53_49.log

The lcpdfr.log will appear after you go on duty to play. It is not created if you just install the files. I don't remember if the crash you have is related to permissions. I think you need to right click>properties>general> uncheck read only for your installation folder.

Have you messed with any of the shaders(GtaIV>commom>Shaders). This would happen if you were to install an enb. Aside from that i took another look at the log you provided. I did notice a few things that need changed. [Log Check] ScriptHookDotNet.log lists one or more errors. You may upload that, if this doesn't work. 2015-02-19 21:26:00 - Error during Tick in script 'LCPDFR_Loader.Loader'. I'm fairly certain this issue is caused because Backup.net.dll is a plugin, not a script. It must be installed GTAIV>LCPDFR>plugins>backup.net.dll. It will cause issues if not in the right place. Traffic load doesn't belong in scripts either, it needs to be in the Root folder(gtaiv.exe).

[Log Check] AdvancedHook.log lists a game crash. This is probably not LCPDFR related. Check it after moving the others. If you are still having trouble after that Gtapolicetools script doesn't play nice with LCPDFR 1.0, you luck may vary from what others say. I would remove it until everything is up and running. If this fails to fix the issue. i have a few more ideas. Hopefully we can resolve this.

AdvancedHook is outdated based on this:

[INFO - 21:25:3] AdvancedHook 0.34 (C) 2010-2014 LMS - Initialized

Please download the manual installation package and make sure to drag AdvancedHook.dll into the GTA IV/EFLC folder.

Yes. I installed Game4Videos ENB installed. But I had it installed before, and it never did this.

I did the manual installation first.

OK. I will download a fresh manual LCPDFR and install that advancedhook.

That didn't work either. I'm going to do a fresh install of everything and only install LCPDFR and no other mods. To check to see if its LCPDFR or another mod.

Nothing worked still getting the same start up error LCPDFR.Loader. Why can't they upload 1.0c, because this is ridiculous, some versions work then an update come out then it no longer works and then you can't play LCPDFR anymore. Everytime there is an update, some peoples game goes straight to hell.

That just means LCPDFR failed to initialize - the log will show what the issue actually is.

I dosen't create a log, because I never start LCPDFR.

If the error message about LCPDFR.loader.loader (or whatever it says) shows up, then something will be in the log about why there was an error.

One guy says, 'It doesn't create a log if you never go on duty'. Another says there is a log. It seems like no one has any idea on what the hell is going on.

I went and played without starting LCPDFR 1.0D. Willpv23 is right about the logs being created even without LCPDFR being started. I just deleted my logs and played without going on duty to see what is created. I am sorry for creating the confusion, I was wrong. I do have some info, when you start it creates 7 files. They are: AdvancedHook.log, AdvancedHookInit.log, asilog.txt, LCPDFR.log, MiniDump.dmp, ScriptHook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log. I will upload my logs so you can see what you have or are simply missing. Hope this helps.

Well I fixed that problem. It was a script that I had installed. I don't know which one, but I no longer get the problem. Now my game crashes every time on start-up and that happened after I installed a ENB. I tried EyeCandy v6 and Game4video. I have use Game4video before and never had a problem.

Remove any third-party modifications and try again. To do this, I guess you'll have to reinstall since you decided to install an ENB, they are a bit difficult to remove. After you have a clean install (NO mods at all), install LCPDFR and let us know the results.

If it still crashes after that, show us a screenshot of your GTA IV directory.

We cannot cater the setup that each indidivual uses. LCPDFR is tested on an unmodded copy of the game, and as such it can only recieve proper support on such a copy.

Okay, well good news. My game finally works, with Eyecandy v3. I would prefer v6 but like I said, Its a no go.
