    The Superbowl happened?

I am not american, so I had to pick my favorite teams according to what I saw and read about them. I allow myself to support one AFC and one NFC team. So when my Packers fell short to Seattle, my Patriots became my main focus.

I really wanted Brady to get his fourth Super Bowl ring because I like how hard he works for his team and that he is willing to take a pay-cut just to keep his Patriots in contention (and Belichick kinda reminds me of the Emperor in Star Wars - and I like Star Wars).

While I think that Russel Wilson is a really nice guy, I can't stand Seattle's defense. All that trashtalk, all that insulting. Can't they just acknowledge what others do? Saying Gronk is overrated is just stupid. So I'm pretty happy that Seattle got pulled back on earth by the Patriots.

And I suffered, I suffered a lot when the Seahawks won the game against the Packers with a huge amount of luck (and stupid mistakes by the Pack), so that Super Bowl win by the Pats was some sort of redemption for me. I don't like how Seattle plays, relying so heavily on Marshawn Lynch. The passes are mostly based on pure luck. That final pass, during the last 2 minutes, that everybody's making up as "best catch in super bowl history" or what so ever - in my opinion that was just a huge amount of luck that the ball didn't touch the ground, not so much great catching skills by the receiver.

I too did already see the Patriots defeated when Seattle was at the 1 and I couldn't believe the interception. Overall the Super Bowl was fun to watch, a lot more exciting than last year's Super Bowl against the Broncos (where I actually rooted for the Seahawks because I don't like Manning).

But as for that playcall at the end. Pete Carroll explained why he did it, and it makes quite a lot of sense. The Seahawks had one timeout remaining, so they had to pass at least one time at the goalline to have a possibility to play all four downs. You know, had they run the ball and had the Pats stopped them, they would have had to burn their final timeout and loose the possibility to play fourth down if necessary.

Wilson's choice to go in the direction of the Patriots' Butler was also the right one, outside was multiple coverage, inside was a one-on-one matchup right at the Endzone-Line. So you're going in the direction of a Rookie in 1on1 who had no interceptions in his NFL career so far. What Wilson did not know is that Butler had the most interceptions of the whole Patriots team in training. So he made a play. A huge one. But you can't say the Seahawks made a mistake. Of course the Patriots were prepared for Lynch, they brought in additional linemen, so who knows what would've happenend.

In my opinion, the Seahawks should never have been in that game anyway with that huge amount of luck they had against Green Bay.
