Monty Oum, animator and writer for Roosterteeth shows such as RWBY and Red vs Blue has passed away at the age of 33.

 

Monty developed an allergic reaction to a medical procedure that left him in a coma for 10 days. Monty passed away yesterday.

 

Monty also did the animations for the video game version of Afro Samurai as well as a few other projects. This is a sad day for the RT community.

 

My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

I never watched RWBY or RVB but it's still super sad. :(

Had the pleasure of meeting him on multiple occasions at Comiccon. Great guy. Truly saddened by the news.

didnt really know who he was its a shame though i know how it feels to lose someone very close i feel bad for his wife. i feel bad for megan turney she was definitely heart broke shes strong for being able to report that. i know how much it hurts
