What do you think about anime? I think its absolutely absurd, and there is no logical reason of being so attached to it, ill make a poll to see what you guys think.

Anime is not for everyone, there is no reason to hate on it, some like it, some don't, me it depends on what type of anime, I respect people's choice of TV watching and so should you. Also from your post and signature I see a flame war coming.

Because teenagers and adults are obsessed with Japanese cartoons, which is (Imo) very imature

i dont get why you call it absurd either. I like anime a lot. People have different views on it. I cant really change your mindset on it, but when people hate me because of what I like, I get irritated. Theres no point to it. Just let us like what we like and go on your merry way.

Yes, I agree some people take it too far, but I like your argument. I compare it to any other tv show, whether it be real-life or not. Whats the difference? They both can have great stories/plot, and thats why people watch them.

Anime is Japanese... It may not necessarily be produced there but the genre is considered Japanese.

And? People can be obsessed over anything, not just anime. Why do you care what others are obsessed with anyway? Does it affect you? No.

Anime is short for "animation", however "anime" is the term given to all animation of manga style created in Japan, so technically speaking, all anime is Japanese.

You're implying that all anime and cartoons are aimed at children. This couldn't be further from the truth. There are shows aimed at both older and younger audiences. 

 

Look at cartoons such as Archer, Family Guy, South Park and American Dad. Are they aimed at children and are they child friendly? No, they aren't.

What makes it immature? I'm 18 and I still enjoy playing the same Pokemon games I did as a kid. I still enjoy shows I watched when I was younger. Not to mention that some cartoons are meant for adults, or at the minimum older kids. Family Guy, South Park, etc...

Quite honestly I just think youre hard-headed, and have this mindset that isnt able to be changed. Some people are like that. Oh well. I dont need acceptance from everyone to watch shows that I enjoy.
