hey, i have installed LCPDFR and can go off and on duty fine, but i have noticed that no cars or people spawn, anywhere, so i proceeded into a station and went on duty, but when i select my player or uniform it only comes up with niko bellic with some random clothes?

LCPDFR is the only mod i have installed, i have the 1.0.7.0 update and yeah so i need help,

if anyone knows how to fix this it would be much appreciated as my lil bro wants to play it :biggrin:

Make sure your GTA directory is not read-only when installing LCPDFR (right click on your GTA IV map, click properties and tick off "read-only".) and that you are running the installer as administrator. This has been said so many times. Try to use the search feature next time.

i have already done that, and believe me i have been at this for like 6 hours, fixing problems and then another arises...

i have researched about this before, and it still didn't help, anything else i could do???

The error you are getting shows that it does not have proper access rights to your GTA files. Please check again and ensure that your Grand theft auto IV folder is not listed as readonly in its properties and ensure that you run the installer as a administrator.

okay, so i checked that its not ticked for "read only" and it was ticked? but now when i untick read only and click apply and ok it shows its not ticked, but if i open in back up as soon as i close it, the read only box has been ticked?

so basically its setting it to read only every time i close its properties??

and yes i have run the installer as administrator..

I think this is caused by UAC (User Account Control), simply head over to your control panel, click on User Accounts and Family Safety, then click on User Account. This will bring up a new window, then simply click "Change user account control settings" and set it to "Don't notify" or "off", restart your PC and try changing the "read only" setting again.

okay i have check in the user account and clicked on change user account settings and there is no "off" setting, just never notify and always notify, and it was selected to never notify..

Did you have SparkIV open when you started GTA? I sometimes forget to close SparkIV, and when I do, no cars or peds spawn. I'm guessing that's the most likely problem.

I don't know if you're using Vista or 7, but if it is UAC, it is easy to turn off in Vista: http://www.mydigitallife.info/turn-off-or-disable-user-account-control-uac-in-windows-vista/

I turn UAC off always anyway (I have Vista), it gets rid of the annoying pop-up "Are you sure you want to do this?" prompts that those Apple Vs. Vista ads made fun of.

nope, i never run sparkIV while im playing gta..

i have windows 7, and its set to never notify me..
