New to LCPDFR having trouble with simple native trainer and ELS!

Featured Replies

So, I just bought GTA IV on steam this week after deciding to try and start playing LCPDFR. I followed the instructions, and have got LCPDFR working fine and some vehicle modifications done. I decided to install simple native trainer and ELS to get the new mods lights working correctly. I went through all the installation procedures using dsound.dll, but when i launch the game, I can enable/disable LCPDFR and everything, but when I hit F3, nothing happens. I've looked through tons of forum pages and watched different install guides, and also tried xlive.dll instead, and can't seem to get it to work. Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Daniel

Hmm on my trainer I use F3 or F4. F5 is used on mine to use speed radar. Having said that I didn't know there was an els menu lol

Trainer V6.5. I haven't been able to access the simple native trainer menu or els menu or anything.

So you have the Trainer.asi and Trainer.ini inside your GTAIV folder?

I'm taking a bit of a guess here,   but if you are having problems with both menus it might be a key bind conflict.

And I think sometimes people post that they have to mash their key like 5-6 times before it opens.

Best thing to do is try changing the keys for the main functions of ELS or SNT.  (always good to back up before modifying)

For some people it will be super easy and for some it won't.  Hopefully this is the reason and you can get it fixed quick.

(i personally had better luck changing around the ELS keybinds.  Slightly less confusing and way less entries to look at compared to trainer.ini)

Reply to this thread if that doesn't fix it.  Maybe someone else will have other ideas.
