Elite Dangerous is the Euro Truck of Space! Basically everything is done by YOU! Land your ship, dock your ship, blow up ships. There is alot to it. You can do anything. Be a bounty hunter, a miner, a black market dealer, a trader. Anything you want. You start of with a crap ship an 1000 and can do what you like. You never leave your ship at all. It's got MP too but it's buggy ATM.

 

I purchased this a week or two ago and while I haven't had a lot of time to play, I definitely recommend it.  Once you get the hang of the controls, the game really opens up and there is an amazing number of things you can do.  At first I tried exploration, but after deciding that wasn't my thing, I started rolling in money by bounty hunting.  There's a different activity for everyone, and a universe of possibilities.

I don't believe there are any plans to bring it to any store other than theirs, although you can easily make the steam overlay work with it and launch it through steam.

I preordered it and got the Mercenary Edition. Great game, highly recommend. 

I also would highly recommend getting this. I've been playing since early gamma in it's testing stages and while it's an awesome game, I do see it having much more potential if they continue to update it and add features.

Game is so damn awesome - saw the video Squirrel (the YouTuber) did on it last year and got it. Really awesome.
