[W.I.P.] Police Motorcycle Squad

Recommended Posts

As you can see below, I have an active Police motorcycle squad, along with a State Trooper and a Traffic Cop handling them. What makes this modification special? Well its policeb (Yes, policeb!), running within the original GTA 4 game and not replacing any current police vehicles.

It's still a work in progress... I have to figure out a couple of issues before releasing the modifications directions on doing so. So wish me luck!!!

P.S. The bike is from TBoGT for those who didn't know.

Sorry to rain on your parade (if you discovered this by yourself, it's impressive), but GPM already has a set of instructions to install policeb in GTA IV without replacing. If, on the other hand, you have it spawning in traffic, that's damn impressive.

Yeah, how did you get them to spawn in traffic?

Spawning in traffic, with attached officers.

Oh wow, that's real cool. I don't own EFLC, but i'll be looking forward for videos to whom ever uses this Motorcycle.

You don't need EFLC for what I'm doing... just the bike, which someone or I can upload for those who need it. :)

Cars pull over?

EDIT: Also, does this feel like an interrogation to you, or is it just me?

Cars don't - however that can be easily resolved by switching policeb with either police3 or police4, if I remember it correctly. As of now, hitting them causes lights/sirens and a beat down.

Interrogation? No. ;)

Nutt, I have an idea for your next project since this kind of thing seems to be right up your alley!

Do you think you could find a way to get regular GTA IV to use all of the cop heads? Currently the game only uses the latino and black cop heads (4 textures) but there are a few more white cops that aren't used and I haven't been able to figure out what has to be done to get them active. I know that TBOGT uses a wider variety of cop skins but I can't figure out how.

No dice. The model for the white cop heads is missing, so you can't have white default cops. In EFLC, there is a whole different model used (white, Chinese, Latino; not white, black, Latino, like IV was supposed to be). Custo has a mod where he took the prison guards from TLAD - who are the same as the original cops, but with the white cop head, and long sleeve and leather jacket only (no short sleeves or raincoat) - and reskinned them with LCPD (Olanov used a modified version for thin security guards) Barring someone making a model edit, you can't have white cops with the full range of shirts/coats.

Oh wow that's more complicated than I thought but it would explain why everything appears to be right in the other files, they just don't show up ingame. +1

So... If I'm understanding this correctly, you've found a way to add, not replace, fully functional police patrols and taken it a step further by implementing police motorcycles instead of a car? If that's the case, does that mean I'd be able to add an unmarked police car and have them patrol the city with cops inside using the same method?
