What ENB and what Fps with this build

Featured Replies

So I'm currently building a new PC, if I were to use a high end ENB like cry 2.0 etc, on max settings, what Fps would I get?

specs:

AMD 8320 3.5 ghz 8 core

GTX 760 2 gb

8gb ram

Win 7

I would say you can definetly run CryENB V1 let alone V3 on Ultra-End Settings. I have an Intel i7 2600 @ 3.8GHZ with 8GB RAM and a ASUS R9 270X 1GB GPU and I get around 30-50 FPS on the high-End settings in CryENB V1

this is a hard question to answer, mixing modern parts with GTA IV + ENBs is always questionable

everything considered you ~should~ be alright. i'd expect you to get at least 30FPS on that build

it would be interesting to see how players with 6-core processors handle GTA IV, seeing as the game is not built to take advantage of that many cores. those started to come out years after IV was released. not to mention GTA IV seems to be dodgy on AMD CPUs, at least, it is on my 945 3.0ghz

The FX 8320 is a 8 core processor. The first number tells the amount of cores.

Yeah sorry, posted this at like 1am

Maybe they will make a gta v lcpdfr, and I'll get even better Fps (more stable game) and good graphics( no need for enb right away)

With my current rig, a Asus 760, FX-6300 OC @ 4.3Ghz, 8GB RAM, 7200RPM 1TB HDD, I get about 40-50FPS @ 1080p with LCPDFR, CRYEnb v3, ELS V8 police car pack and about 7-10 other mods such as trafficflow, braveheart, etc on Max-high settings.

Feel free to PM me for help! Also please hit the like button if anything I said helped or made ya laugh. Specialty is computer hardware and assembling so feel free to ask anything if you need help :)

Question,  what do you use to check FPS.  (besides FRAPS)

Some other programs I have used, don't mesh well with stability.

Do you run an ENB? If you do, press the * key on your numpad and very little numbers should pop up in your top left hand corner. If not I use either shadowplay (gotta configure it)or bandicam.

Okay thanks!  I very briefly tried some new enbs recently and i noticed a FPS setting in the .ini file.   Unfortunately the enb itself did not work to my satisfaction and i did not test further.

I'm stuck with game4video and i'll try and see if it works.  Not too bothered if it does not work. (GTA V soon....)

So change in rig guys, I actually got more money and decided to upgrade the rig a little bit. I'm getting a GTX 970 4gb New Years edition and the i5 4690k which is arguably better/worse than my and processor previously mentioned. Any different thoughts on the fps?

You'll max out with around 50ish to 60 FPS with CRYENB v3 and other mods. Just keep in mind that GTA IV is a pre bad PC port so make sure you configure everything first.

Gonna open up the PC I had before having this built for me, see what CPU and MOBO it has. Well, launch it, check specs. If it has a better CPU I'mma take that for myself! The Xeon 7030 is causing me 20-29 fps being bottlenecked and a crap CPU :C If I wanna upgrade though, I wanna get Intel Pentium G3258 is it. Idk, I've seen it run GTA 4 really well with the GTX 750ti, which I have. But I'll need a new MOBO too, found one for 31 pounds. But I don't know when I'll get these components. Just praying GTA 5 is one hell of an amazing optimized beast. And won't mind my crap CPU and will work for me ;-;
