How Does A Homeless Man Spend $100?

Featured Replies

I've watched this video tonight, and I felt my faith in humanity getting restored, so I felt like I should share. Maybe some of you have watched it already, but oh well. It was really touching, and it shots down the stereotypes people have about homeless people.

Try not to tear up!

Hystery, you almost made me cry. This was so heartwarming, you see people, not all homeless people are fat stinking drunks like you assume them to be. It's good to know that there will always be good people in our society.

Haha yes, this video is like right in the feels.

That is correct. Instead of spending the money on himself, he spent it on other people he wanted to help.

This guy was awesome, it's good that we have people like him in this world.

That person is ssssssooooooo nice

Did so not expect this to happen. Same as the uploaders I expected the man to buy alcohol as soon as he went in the store..

I think everyone did, what else would he do in a Liquor Store?

Well seeing they sell alot of other stuff, some people might've expected something else :D

Well, most of us did

Since a lot of homeless people when they get money just go and get alcohol and get drunk, but not all

Well, that's half a stereotype to be honest.

I've been a volunteer for a caritative association taking care of homeless people in the nearest city for a moment, and the fact that homeless people drink alcohol is true. However, they do not do it to get drunk, but to actually feel warm during the night and winter. Alcohol inihibits the sensation of cold, making it easier to get through the cold nights and tough winters. They fight the weather to the best they can.

Sadly most people think "They get drunk because they are waste", which couldn't be more wrong. At least for the high majority of homeless people.

And the follow up... It's good that this guy is helping him out, but I kinda agree with some of the people commenting. It does seem like he's exploiting this guy for the views and to boost his ego by recording everything. I believe that if you're really helping someone out of the kindness of your heart then you shouldn't be showing off to the world trying to get approval and praise from millions of viewers which in return you get paid for for monetizing. Still very touching.
