have a question i got my game to finally update but it says the launchgta one is still 1.0.0 but the gta.exe is 1.0.7.0 anyone know how to fix this or can it not be fixed sorry if this post is in the wrong spot

I have never seen or heard this happen before. You could try to uninstall the game and re-install it and then get the updater provided by R* and run it again. Are you trying to update the game through steam? Or did you get Rockstar's updater they provided? If you have the steam version of the game and did not already make a Rockstar Games folder in your Documents, you can try that. You just make the Rockstar Games folder, copy & paste all files from the steam GTA IV folder into the Rockstar Games folder you made. I've seen this happen before.

 

The 1.0.7.0 is the version shown when selecting the GTAIV.exe executable; the 1.0.0 is shown when selecting the LaunchGTAIV.exe executable. Be sure you're selecting the right file.

i have used the rockstar updater but in order to play lcpdfr i have to run the launchGTAIV.exe otherwise it will not work, i will try the rockstar folder but i dont see how that will make a difference in the launchgtaiv.exe updating to 1.0.7.0

LaunchGTAIV probably will not show the most recent version, because the launcher probably wasn't updated in the patches. If GTAIV.exe shows 1.0.7.0 then you should be fine.

okay ill try it again and see if it works if not ill just have to use EFLC to play lcpdfr

I realise that you have to run the game through the launcher, however it is only the GTAIV.exe file that shows the installed version.
