Cannot for the life of me get LCPDFR to run...

Alright, I'm brand new to this, I'll do my best to not sound like a complete idiot! I do have a somewhat decent knowledge about computers... Anyway, I have just downloaded GTA IV off of steam onto my computer. It's version 1.0.7.0. I have the native simple trainer installed (only mod installed) which is working just fine, I installed LCPDFR and then GTA wouldn't open, then I finally got GTA to open and my trainer didn't work, nor LCPDFR...(feel my pain?) I tried installing the automatic one, with no luck, but I did the manual installation first and I simply dragged the files into the GTA directory as directed, and crash, crash, and if the game doesn't crash, my trainer does not work, neither does LCPDFR. So either way if anyone knows what the problem is you'd be a great help as I'm dying to play this!!! It's got to be something stupid too. It's LCPDFR version 1.0c btw. Thanks if y'all can help me out

Please do the following:

  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Post your system specifications.

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit with 4 GB of ram and an AMD Radeon HD 5700 series. I did everything you said above. The problem does infact still exist... :wallbash:  here's a screenshot of my GTA directory if I can figure it out..hang on lol

I have attached a screenshot to my original post.

Like willpv23 said, please post your logs. It may provide some insight into what is happening internally. As for your computer, I'm not sure its gonna be powerful enough to run GTA + LCPDFR. It's a pretty serious mod that eats up a lot of power due to the way GTA is configured. Maybe post your computer specs too.

If you use any of my skins in a YouTube video, please let me know. I would love to see it. output_hzFinh_zps2w8whjkq.gif

Yes, please post any logs. Based on your screenshot, there is no ScriptHookDotNet log or AdvancedHook log, meaning they fail to load. Make sure you are using the ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi (NOT .dll), and dsound.dll from the LCPDFR installation as those will be the latest versions.
