Moving to GTA IV Support Requests. The LCPDFR Support section is only for issues relating to the LCPDFR modification itself.

If the file you downloaded is in a .rar, then you need to extract it with WinRar or something similar. If it is in a .zip, then you can extract it with Windows. Then you open SparkIV and find /pc/audio/sfx/ and open resident.rpf. Click on RESIDENT on the left, and import the HORNS.ivaud that should have been included in the download, and save.

when i do that it puts it in there as an audio file instead of a soundbank like the rest.  so the game doesnt recognize it.  it is like its in the wrong format when i put it into open iv

I'm not sure how OpenIV handles audio mods.

OpenIV doesn't like audio files and often just crashes your game when you import new ones.

OpenIV works with audio files just fine, without any issues:

As much as I love OpenIV, this just doesn't work for me. Even with no given extension, the game crashes when I replace audio files. If I install those same files with SparkIV, the game works fine. Anyway, this thread isn't about me or my issues.
