I was doing my normal beat around Algonquin at 3:00 a.m. with realtime running via the NT. I spotted a blue pickup truck with two white males inside run a red light so I got behind them and hit shift to pull them over and they refuse. Fine, hit the lights and sirens and start a pursuit. I have a modded popcycle file that reduces the cops so I don't get 20 of them join my chase but I call for 2 backup cars and a helicopter as per my usual routine. (SIDENOTE: I play hardcore so the helicopter is great if you lose the suspects as it will sort of follow them and you can catch up again..just like a real helicopter! Cool.) Anyway with 3 of us following the suspects go over the north bridge into Alderney on that east-west highway. The chase was going on for about two minutes at this point. All of a sudden the passenger leans out the window with a small mac-10 type weapon and shoots!!! His shots hit the driver of one of the other cop cars and kills him. The cop car goes out of control and hits a barrier!!! SHOTS FIRED!!! So I hit F9 (deadly force authorised) for the first time EVER in LCPDFR. A rare patrol car joins the chase (I mean rare because of my popcycle file)so we are 3 cop cars again and I see an officer lean out and start shooting the driver of the truck. At highway speeds he loses control and crashes. His passenger is quickly cut down as he is still fighting. Code 4. Frikking AWSOME!

Anyway...Some more suggestions.

I often I pull someone out of a car so I can search them and their car. The only way to make them stick around is to put them in cuffs and make them stay (F11) while I search the car. I also frisk the person. If I find nothing in the car and nothing on them I want to let them go but you cannot get them out of the cuffs. Can we have a option in the future to "release" a handcuffed person so they can walk away?

It would be great if when you pull someone over and walk up to the window there could be a random chance that you smell alchohol. Like a message at the top of the screen. This would be a reason to pull them out and search them. You could even make the chance greater on a friday or saturday night! Search them and find booze? That would be cool!

Aha, great story and nice ideas. Hopefully Sam or one of the Development guys can get to this thread and might be able to put some more cool features in the next release.

You already can release handcuffed people, simply equip your bat/baton by pressing 2, go close to them and target them with it and then press E, you will then be able to release the suspect by choosing cancel.

Also, you can use the new frisking system to hold suspects, rather than cuffing them.

Really? I can uncuff them? I cant wait to try it! What a gift!

I cuff them before I frisk them for my, and their, protection.

I found something cool that plays into my alcohol request from the first post. Sometimes when you pull someone over and the reason you select is F10 (aggressive driving I think?) your cop will say "Your driving like your shit-faced". When this happens I just pretend that I smell alcohol and pull him out of the car for arrest. Works well until they develope something else!
