er so is this like multiplayer, or ls it one of those games like "Tom Clancy's End War" where you actually don't even play the game for real you just send orders and all that, because if it's like that i most likely wouldn't like it.

Yes, from the videos it's a game where you control and dispatch units. I'm just wondering what can you do? Can you set up a SWAT team?

I've played Emergency 2 waaaay back, and back then you had these set teams / units, they had their little picture in the bar at the bottom, you clicked the picture, told them where to go, they went there, told them what to do, they did it and eventually the thing would end and you have succeeded or failed.

So yes, it's basically about giving orders, not actively performing anything yourself. If you're looking for SWAT teams and what not, buy SWAT 4. :)

It is the New York Modification? Or will it be an entire City mod also? :S I'm confused now.

The "New York Modification" is the one lead by FFW TUT, still in progress but much more advanced.

The "New York Mod" is the one by some of the LA Mod team, released but lacking some features, a map and units.

I like the los angeles mod for it. I love trying to keep the city in peace, but after 15mins it's all big chaos with everyhting exploding everywhere.

Maybe because your difficulty isn't on easy, when I used to play Emergency 4 with LA Mod I always had those gas explosions, but then I realized I was playing on medium or hard difficulty so I switched it back to easy and then I barely got them, you could try to look in options to see. :smile:
