Vehicle Mod Status Question

     Another quick question. When a model says Mod Status: OPEN, does that mean you are allowed to make modifications to that model (adding lightbar(s), rambars(s), etc) and then release that model with your modifications and proper crediting? Or does it simply mean it's unlocked for personal use, and personal use only? Or neither?

Either way, I would contact the original author of the model to be sure.

I thought it meant the author was still working on the model, and it would say unlocked if it was open to the public?

What it usually means if it says OPEN that means that the author is continuing work on that particular release. "CLOSED" means its finished and to expect no further releases or updates for that project. It does not mean its unlocked, if it was unlocked there would be explicit writing saying that it was. OPEN/CLOSED just refers to status of the project, not unlocked

No problem. When I started in the community I thought the same thing, that it meant it was unlocked.
