Sound Issue

Featured Replies

Okay I have had my problems with simple problems in the past, but I keep losing audio from dispatch. Thats it when i re installed I lost the taser and it wouldn't work I went through the forum and got it going again. I saw an older post that someone had the same problem as I am having and they were having to Alt + tab to desktop and then again to get back in game. This works for me. But it seems I am missing something, I run as admin, but every time I go to properties on any folder even though I unmark read only it still says read only. Just picking yalls brain. Any ideas would be helpful.

Question: I have seen a few post in the support forum that talks about moving the Gta folder out of Program Files into another Directory. I suppose this can solve some command issues. Has any one done this to advise some hints or donts.

So I was playing with command lines trying to get my EFLC up to speed on my desktop and started playing with the compatibility settings and read only settings with my windows 8 computer prompts to change my compatibility setting to windows 7 instead of windows vista service pack 1 or 2. and BAM dispatch and radio chatter come in perfect I get excited go on a 30min patrol and go for my taser on a wild shots fired call and no taser, I have done all the Manuel installation to get this working. So I quit the game and start playing with different trucks trying to get els 6 trucks like silverado working on els 8 and having game crashes. I then decide to get back to some tahoes I know work fine with els 8 and set the compatibility to windows eight. I actually played LCPDFR for an hour and a half last night no crashes with dispatch and taser working. Is this possible due to my new command lines I used from gta forums and some from the forums or here or just good luck? Anyway worked for me hope it helps someone else

Thanks for providing a possible solution, to your issue. I have no idea what is causing your sound issue, but about the magically checking of read-only, that's just normal for folders on a protected path (like the  Program Files one). Therefore to minimize issues it's always a good idea to have the game running on another drive, e.g. D:.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

Thanks for the pointer

Edit: After changing the Compatibility mode to windows 7 I no longer have sound problems. If the Moderator would mark this as answer, thank yall for your support
