I don't think it is. The model is one piece, and the lights themselves never change. It's the textures on them that do. That's what makes them grey (off) or blue/red/yellow/whatever. Rapid reloading of textures. Halogen I don't know how that's done, but again the model can't morph so it's probably some way of manipulating T&L (transform & lighting) and placing it within the area where the halogen bulbs should be.

    I seem to remember reading that this is a common issue with ELS. I refrain from calling noose units in my game as this was the consensus. I would think a non-ELS vehicle in the Noose slot would work

Here is a question for you. I have since used other ELS cars in my noose slots and they do cause crashes. If I disabled AI ELS what will happen? Will those AI cars drive with sirens but no lights?

Visit me on youtube. The most common reason for crashing is user error. Make sure you have the latest RAGE, ScripthookV, ScripthookVdotnet and turn off your antivirus. Make sure you have an up to date gameconfig.xml as well. Use Allbo's plugin troubleshooter to find any errors too.

No, that's not how it works. ELS uses the extras (which can be spawned/despawned ingame), so it does reload the model. No one knows how to do dynamic texture loading, AFAIK. Also, I'm pretty sure ELS-H just sets the primary pattern to a smooth 1-2-3-4 (instead of being flashing).

yea the els lights from ai WILL NOT turn on but ull hear the siren, i use it that way cus it crashes me 2 try it works fine

It don't think it could do that for the rotating lights, but I suppose without seeing the source code I won't know.

If you look at ELS-H lights, the 4 primary light components are all quarter-circles for the rotator. I'm pretty sure that these are just done in smooth succession to look like spinning.

I'd probably have to watch it frame by frame to tell lol.

Yeah, do that. I had problems with models as they were crashing after 20 mins of play. I disabled ELS on all AI and now it works fine, game isn't lagging anymore and overall it's great.

i have my noose fbi, pol patriot, pstockade, and nstockade modded with els cruisers with only pol 1 and 2 non els and its pretty stable that way...with els pol 1 and 2 its going to crash alot more often and its just annoying
