[CJ24-REL] San Diego County Sheriff's Department CVPI

Hello, I would like to request/suggest a model of CVPI. I can make the paint. But I know nothing about modeling. My brain doesn't want to learn stuff like this anymore...

The light bar is what I deeply desire. SDSD uses Federal Signal Arjent S2 with Federal Signal Smart Siren controlling it. Thus I would like to replicate it's function in game.

Discrip:

Lightbar:

Federal Signal Arjent S2

Clear Lenses
Drivers side red, pass blue
1 module steady burning red per 25252 CVC.

S0: Traffic advisor / Manual Siren use
S1: AKA Low Output, 1 module steady burning red in the front only, traffic advisor warning (IN OUT), outside 2 modules on either side flashing of the rear.
S2: All red and blue's flashing except the 1 module steady burning red, traffic advisor warning (IN OUT).
S3: AKA CODE (3) All red and blue's and takedown's flashing, except the 1 module steady burning red, traffic advisor warning (IN OUT).

ELS Can control it. Just the solid burning red linked with traffic advisor pattern C4??

See video: San Diego Sheriff Fed Sig Arjent Lightbar

Spotlights (driver and passenger side) facing forward for use.

Go Rhino push bar.
Strobes in the front corners, brake lights, reverse light (blue hue).
Antennas.

I'd prefer if the CVPI model didn't have extra lights. The lightbar is the goal. PM if compensation is required for picky-ness.

SDSD CVPI Front
SDSD CVPI Rear

Thank you.

Thank you a lot CJ, I really appreciate it.

How would I set the light bar up? The model has to be edited correct? Or can that be done via the lightmod?

The texture is not the problem.

if you are talking specific flash pattern you won't be able to edit that. But you can edit textures. Like the color of the light bar, the windows, and pushbar.

It's not the pattern perse.

With ELS I use pattern X-03 and C-1 which is the closest I've seen. I've changed the lense color via 'emergencylights2' before on a old Bugs model.

But I'm assuming that in order to gain the 'Solid Burning Red Module', that it has to be done via modeling? As well as making the back of the bar like L to R:

[RED][BLUE][AMBER][AMBER][AMBER][AMBER][AMBER][AMBER][RED][BLUE]

??

Sorry for being such a noob. But I am learning!

I've been trying to do this car for some days now, I'm sorry for posting only now, but I simply didn't want to say I'll do it without finishing it later.

What I got now is basicly a finished version, just without decals. Antennas, spotlights and rambar are added, I also added the interior cages as well as a console. Unfortunately it's not possible to do follow your wishes 100%, since ELS is still quite limited.

A few explainations:

- The flash pattern of the lightbar are simple on/off flashes, double flashes were not possible. It seemed like at least the stage 3 only had single flashes anyways, so I hope that's no problem.

- Your mentioned lightstages 0, 1 and 3 are done with the normal ELS 8 lightstages, 2 can only be achieved by using LSTG3 and turning the takedowns off.

- In stage 3, the rear lights flash in the same way as in stage 1. The only possible for a left/right alternating flash on both sides would be to do the same in stage 1, I could change that easily, that would depend on your choice. It's hard to explain the pattern, I hope you understand what I mean. Managed to find a way around that.

- The strobes are done using the ELS coronas. That means the reverse light strobes have to be white instead of blue and they're automaticly turned on with LSTG2, your stage 1. Unfortunately there's no other possibility, I didn't have enough extras available to create normal ELS lights.

If that sounds good to you, that's great, I'll upload it then as soon as possible. If there're any things you'd like to have in a different way, just let me know, I can also show some pictures or upload the model if that helps you to decide. I've been thinking about that setup a lot, but as it's quite unusual, it seems to be impossible to get something completely exact.

CJ you are awesome and we all hope to see it released!

Awesome, I just started messing with ELS 8 config.

For ELS what I found that is the closest was pattern 17.

The solid burning red and the rear RB seems like the only main focus? Since ELS takes care of the rest. (I had to get Win7...) I was thinking for if the solid red is linked to the traffic advisor pattern C4 so it doesnt flash. Then that leaves LTSG3 ONLY can be used? Kind of like Sentinel55 LASD car.

The closer the better. No rush is needed.

Thanks again!

Pattern 17 has the same flashing speed like the one I'm using, it wouldn't make a difference with that car. Basicly two of the possible extras are used for LSTG2, in LSTG3 the other two are used for the complete lightbar.

I just took a small video showing all of the pattern:

So far I haven't continued to work on the skin, I believe everything else works fine now.

Wow, thats sexy!!!

Are you going to be editing the antennas and removing the rear FORD emblem? (I don't want to sound picky, if not its cool)

The vehicles have the 4 LoJac antennas (squared), one 800mhz for the RCS (Radio), and one dome antenna for GPS/MDC. [The antenna pack I used was found here] Minor suggestion if not too much add an AR15/M4 and 12g Shotgun between the seats like this: '>

What skin template would it be using? I can help out with the paint and send you it.

Thank you for your time! Can't wait.

The guns and the badge are no problem, that's already fixed. The antennas are technically no problem either, although I used the same setup I've seen on all of the pictures I found, for example, SAN DIEGO COUNTY SHERIFF>this, Sheriff, San Diego, U.S.A.>this and San Diego Sheriff>this. Are you sure their recent vehicles use the setup you showed? Concerning the models of the antennas, I'd rather stick to those I'm using currently. The quality is almost the same, yet they are not as high poly as those.

If you'd like to work on a skin, the template I'm using is included for example in >here. I guess I'll try to continue to work on my skin anyways, though we'll see.

Those would be older fleet. Not all vehicles were LoJac equiped. The county started funding it more and more and the cars were fitted with LoJac. They thought the only units that needed LoJac was the Traffic Unit. But With the amount of LoJac hits we get they started retrofitting them. See here and here. These were the antennas I was playing with '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> By all means if you got better stuff use it. I'm just trying to help as much as I can.

I'm going to start working on the skin.

Thanks again!

ADD:

Attached is everything I have Star, Fonts, Color codes, etc. (Don't mind the "City of" I just zipped the whole folder)

I've finished my own skins now and added the antennas.

Unless there's anything else you'd like to have added or changed, it should be ready now.

Is this going to be public or private?

Looks awesome CJ!!

Nothing else I can think of. You have no idea how much this means to me.

That is the ONLY SD Sheriff vehicle that is accurate!

I had to download the video because I kept watching it too much. Then when I didn't felt like I was going through withdraws :P

Again CJ thank you for your time you've spent.

It's public.

Since it's done, there you go: https://www.mediafire.com/?xaoq95ufcp2ya85

If there're any issues or other inaccuracies just post in here, I'll see what I can do then.

Thank you so much CJ!!

I appreciate it!

I can't believe you got the lightbar so accurate.

I love how I can set the 'K' to <<<< and it stays and still have the in out pattern via 'J'.

The takedowns are awesome.
