GTA IV; Issue on Mod.

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone!

Im here to report a problem about the mod..

So i downloaded the new mod ( LCPDFR 1.0 ) Automatic installed ofcourse.

and when I get to the loading screen, it turns black after a while showing the mission im on and crashes.

Before that, when i install the mod to the game, it says ' Failed to find a valid installation.."

One of the topics here told me to run the tool and see the problem.. iT showed that i have 2 types of ASI Loaders and i needed 1.0.7.0 Patch..

NOTE: I downloaded the game through Disc.. legally bought the game. I had to download xLive folders and extract them to GTAIV folder in order to make it run. i also had to make a shortcut of game and change the something like put " -availablevidmem 20.0 -norestrictions -memrestrict 30.0 -restrictApp " to avoid never-ending load screen.

So now, I had the game legally downloaded. i have i7 intel core. windows 8.

problems are;

- I Cant install the mod because it says installation failed.

- I Cant update the game, it Fails to Find the game folder.

Important Note: When I Switch my "Date" or "Grand Theft Auto" Files And untick the Read Only, it wont change! i go back and check it through properties and its back with the tick.

I Hope I have explained my problem well. sorry if there was some mistakes here and there.. ive been Trying for almost a week now. so tired.

IF there is a Fix already for ALL these already, please notify me. I couldn't go through the List and did not find my Problem listed. as you can see i have more than one problem.

Anymore information required please notify ME!

my email is you.deeb@yahoo.com ( incase you wanna hit me up.)

Thank you for you're time! :)

Is dsound.dll and xlive.dll in your main GTA IV folder? If so, delete one of them.

Use this download to update your game to 1.0.7.0

No, Only xlive.dll and its other components is in GTA IV. and i tried patching my game from there but the patch wont work. it cannot find the game or cannot recognize it..

Try uninstalling it with the lcpdfr uninstall program. It's at the bottom of the GTAIV directory folder. The run LCPDFR installer and then browse to find it. Find the GTAIV folder go into it and find the GTAIV.exe. Not the folder but the the one with the IV in black image next to it and click that one then try installing it again like that.

BUT BACKUP YO SHIET!
