Wheels are messed up

Featured Replies

I tried to change wheels on cj24's cvpi but the wheels are messed up in game. They look fine in zmodeler and open iv but in game they're f'd up. I pretty much copied it to the original lf, so I lined up the colision, the wheel mesh to the same size, put it in the right place of the directory, etc.

Did you line up the COL files for each wheel?

I didn't think I had to for each wheel because originally, the car's COLs were not lined up and worked in game. I only lined it up to the original wheel_lf

Looks like thats the issue.

Ok, now do I line up the front wheels to the back wheels or back to front?

Line up the COLS so there all the same size, anything that has to do with wheel size has to be the same as the front.

Everything's lined up and its still doing the same thing, only the front right wheel is normal.

Are your vehicle (police.wft, noose.wft, etc.) and chassis dummies both lined up in the center of the axis?

For me, I  make sure they're lined up in the Left view and the Top View, and for me that ensures they're lined up perfectly every-time.

I've never changed wheels before, but I have had my wheels out of whack before, but they remained the same size. :P

Another question, upon looking at the images is, did you possibly scale the new wheels bigger, mainly the two rear ones?

I've only been working with zModeler for about one month now, so I'm not sure what else it could be.
