I was looking at the crime statistics in my signature earlier and I was wondering, what counts as a "misfortune"? When you look at crime statistics that are not in people's signatures, it says "accidental" kills. Anyone know?

Civilian deaths sounds reasonable ... I did run over a massive heap of civilians when in pursuit of a Taxi the other day ... :(

I asked the same question. The answer I got was that any time a suspect was killed, 1 was added on.

Yeah seems odd you only killed 8 peds but died 882 times lol.

Well I have died before while on duty and apparently I've had no kills. :\

Well what you can do is go on duty, arrest someone, and then execute them. See which stat increases. That's one way to find out lol

sseems like whn u kill any 1 tht wasnt suppost to die, suicidal, they kill themselfs, civils ran over by u and/or ai maybe player deaths 2 its prob alot of stuff.

Ah ... I think I know. I think a "misfortune" is when the victim of a mugging dies, a suicidal guy kills himself, the suicidal guy kills you etc, because I accidentally killed the victim of a mugging with my car and I got +1 misfortune.

I have misfortunes and i never died on or off duty yet.

It's probably because i never save a suicidal person yet lol...
