PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - U.S. government agents arrested six Philadelphia narcotics officers on Wednesday on charges they robbed and in some cases kidnapped drug dealers, including dangling one over an 18th story balcony to force him to give up a computer password.

What a bunch of pigs -.- i really hate when police officers don't do their job.. they're put on the front line to PROTECT and SERVE the public, keep the streets safe (in this instance.. from drug dealers). what these officers have done is the complete opposite.

it really gives all the other good officers a bad name

I too can't stand when this happens, we had this happen in N.Y. In the 30th precinct which became known as the dirty 30. It made all our jobs that much harder because the public lumped us all together and saw us all as dirty. I for one have never tolerated dirty cops because I worked very hard to prove my integrity within the communities I patrolled.

I like it when things like this happen, despite the disappoint we may find in those who protect and serve us. I feel that it sends a strong message to other officers who may be engaging in similar activities that they are not above the law. Living in Philadelphia I'm pleased with the outcome, showing that Philly Police are trustworthy and actively ensure that other officers are professional. It also brings out to the public, in my opinion, that cops are people to - they break the law, just like us; although at times maybe not to such an extreme extent. In conclusion, it really reminds us that the majority of police officers are honest, good people, and it should reflect positively on the Philadelphia Police Department - they're keeping not just the streets clean, but themselves as well!
