In your vehicles.ide file in GTA IV/Common/Data, the fifth column is for in game name. This is also the column for the sounds a vehicle makes.

The easiest way to do this is to go to the line for the "pstockade" and "nstockade" and change the slot under "game name" from "stockade" to "polpat." This will give it the same sounds as the default polpatriot, including no beeping noise when reversing.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.
