ELS with Controller?

Hi guys,

I've recently made the switch to controller when patrolling in GTA IV, it feels much better in my opinion. The only issue i've had was using ELS cars, as i haven't been able to find a way to use my controller to use the sirens or lights.

So my question is does anyone else have a way to use ELS with a controller, any type of workaround or maybe something simple. It just sucks having to use my controller then take my hand away to click the keyboard, especially while in pursuit. as i like to manually press. Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can, unless you try a keyboard/controller emulator. I tried doing this a while ago because of the same reason (i hate switching from controller to keyboard every 2 seconds) with no luck at all :/

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Use Xpadder.

Edit: It looked kinda confusing but I prefer keyboard ELS for the added realism ya know.

If you don't mind leaning forward to initiate your lights to stage 3, there is a way to have you controller manage the siren. If you go to your ELS.ini, you should disable the Siren Tones that you were able to manually trigger by pressing the numbers 1-4 (above QWERTY). In the ELS.ini, I disabled those by setting them to 0.

SirenTone_WL = 0 // Nothing/disabled by default
SirenTone_YP = 0 // Nothing/disabled by default
SirenTone_A1 = 0 // Nothing/disabled by default
SirenTone_A2 = 0 // Nothing/disabled by default

After that, you should be okay and be able to use your siren for the controller. As far as turning the lights on and off, I usually just lean forward to the keyboard and initiate them by "J".

I just put my Left Dpad as J and my right Dpad as g, works perfect for me. Now I dont have to use my kepyboard.
