This is a weird problem I've been having all of a sudden- GTA IV and standalone EFLC have both worked well with several script mods installed for months, with no issues whatsoever. But suddenly both the original game AND EFLC just don't work- they crash just after the loading slideshow and the 'loading-story complete' part of the loading screen. This seems to have happened only since this morning tho- last night It worked fine until it crashes 40+ mins in as always (yes, I'm looking at you R*). The thing is I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it- last time this happened I replaced my savegame files and that fixed it, but the trick doesn't work for this. I've deleted my Settings.cfg file, but no luck. Anyone got any tips on how to fix this mysterious error?

What mods do you have installed?

***PROBLEM SORT-OF FIXED***

 

I had LCPDFR and related mods -policehelper etc. 

 

In the end I had to let Steam verify the game cache, which fixed the original IV, but I just couldn't figure out what was crashing EFLC. The only thing i could do is delete it and DL it again if I want to play it.
