GTA IV LCPDFR GAME CRASHES AFTER VEHICLE SELECTION! HELP

Featured Replies

Hi, im fairly new to lcpdfr but i've installed a couple other mod such as spotlight mod, VDH police helper, ELS V8, modded ELS cars and vp Callouts.

I have LCPDFR 0.95 RC2-R2.

the game runs fine until i go into the red circle when leaving the police station to select a police vehicle, it crashes the game!

The game was working fine but everytime I shut down my laptop a new problem always occurs!

I've already tried these methods -

I always RUN AS ADMIN otherwise the game will crash and not load up.

Firstly i went into GTA IV directory > Scrips and LCPDFR and changed the preloadallmodels to True and run my game as admin but i had the same problem.

Second i selected my police officer and teleported out of the police statio using trainer to avoid car selection then i used trainer to spawn a police vehicle and it crashed again.

Third i selected my police officer and teleported out of the police statio using trainer to avoid car selection then drove around until i found a police car and stole it but as soon as i got into the car, the game crashed.

(IVE INSTALLED PATCH 1.7 AND ALSO INSTALLED GAMES FOR WINDOWS LIVE) and ALL OTHERS THAT WERE NEEDED FOR LCPDFR)

My specs are:

(LAPTOP)

4th Gen Intel - Core i5-4200U processor, 1.6GHz dual core (Up to 2.6GHz)

4GB RAM (5400rpm)

nVIDIA GeForce GT 740m 2GB Graphics + Intel HD Graphics 4400

Windows 8.1

completely remove 0.95 RC2 since it's no longer supported. upgrade to 1.0c

I suggest using the manual installer and using this guide - '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

However, if you can't follow the guide or you find it too difficult, using the auto installer is a good option.

I've tired installing LCPDFR 1.0c but it won't install properly and it won't work. I've tired installing with the auto installer but it gives me a dsound.dll error message that's when I tired to install 0.95 and it worked.

Maybe doing a fresh reinstall of GTA 4, patching it to 1.0.7.0 then follow the manual guide i linked to.

if you're getting a dsound error then it's something you have done wrong. it'll be best to start on a fresh install.

Would you recommend I install the xlive or dsound?

I recommend dsound because it's what i have always used. plus xlive disables online, so if you use xlive you won't be able to get online.

Hey, I've done what you said to do but when I hit alt+p lcpdfr doesn't load up.

If you are using 1.0c can you please go to this guide and follow chapter 1. In there you will see tips on using the new diagnostics tool to check that the mod has installed correctly.

It may be that you are missing dependencies if the mod is not loading at all.

Also, regarding the ASI loader, thing. I personally recommend xlive.dll. it is more stable (due to disabling online capabilities) and GFWL will be entirely removed soon so there is no point in having online functions anyway.
