I assume you did the super easy right click on the file and uncheck read only. Make sure you get all the permissions by right clicking on vehicles.ide and opening properties/security

And 2 of the files have the trucks called firetruk.wft and firetruk.wtd, wont it overwrite the other and then only have 1 truck and not the other???

I didnt use it at all. Dont know why its there, just use the wft and wtd. You will have to change one of the Firetruk.wft and Firetruk.wtd to something else, like Nstockade or anything. Just go into the handling.dat and copy and paste the whole line into what you switched it to. DEFINITELY make a back up of your handling.dat before you start.

How does one get back to the middle island??  When I start out I start out at the guys house, I hit the F button and it takes me to the screen on what station to choose, I choose a station but right away I get 5 stars and get shot at and die, then I get placed at the top right island and can not cross back over to the center island as there are cops and barricades all on the bridge and when I try and cross them with no wanted level I get shot at and die and get placed back on the other side of the map and not the center island where all the stuff is....

Yeah I am sorry, I am doing this from my phone as GTA takes up the screen and cant get back to the screen without exiting, I thought I was in the PM section...My apology to everyone for posting that on here.....

So i get GTA IV running and all, the game loads and everything installed correctly. I go to hit "F" to load the mod and it doesn't load.... i've restarted the game multiple times, and still nothing happens.

Started playing the mod a couple of days ago and am really liking it, however when playing the firefighter i cant seem to get the hose or extinguisher to work? ive tried the middle mouse and even tried changing to a different key but nothing?

Do you have AdvancedHook.asi, AdvancedHookDotNet.asi, ScriptHook.asi, scripthookdotnet.asi and Dsound or Xliveless installed correctly? Do you have Fire.net.dll and Fire.ini in your /scripts/ folder?

I assume you mean AdvancedHook.dll? Unless you mean AdvancedHookInit.asi. If it's AdvancedHook.dll you can get it from ELS V8.0
