Is the Steam version stable?

Featured Replies

I've heard people complain about the Steam version of GTA IV being unstable with LCPDFR and such, is this true?

I was thinking of getting the Steam version because my install discs has become unreadable after 3 years of service, may them rest in peace.

People complain out of stupidity mostly.

The steam version is perfectly stable, I've been using it for years. I even test code using the steam version,

When I say perfectly stable, I mean it is as stable as any other copy of the game. It's still prone to the typical GTA IV crashes.

Steam version also allows you to simply delete everything and re-download, or verify the files if you replaced any.

Okay, I'll get the Steam version then, thanks.

I have used both the Steam version and disc version (with the same mods) and well.. it made no difference.

both are the same, either one isn't better or different.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me
