Hello, this is really my first topic, and I am just learning the website. I have a question. I have installed LCPDFR, ELS, ENB, police vehicles, and textures, and SparkIv. (I think that's all) and Gta won't launch. I havn't played Gta with mods before, and I am getting really frusterated. The Icon thinng/picture for the shortcut for Gta iv, and Rockstar Social club is all white with a demo document like thing. I deleted Rockstar Social Club, and tried to re install it but it won't work. I am thinking of uninstalling Gta iv completly and starting fresh, but I have a whole bunch of mods in the gta folder. Can I delete the folder and uninstall all the mods/programs I downloaded listed above? *Note*, I havnt, saved anything on gta, and I have only played it twice on my computer. (Just to see if the game still works). Thank you!

What does the error message say (if there is one)?

Did you ask it nicely?

jokes aside..

 

Are you running it as administrator? Have you tried changing the compatibility? My game doesn't like launching if I don't run as admin, and in compatibility mode.

 

when in doubt, just start over from a back up or a fresh installation. 

I am able to run everything up to the rockstar  logos than everything goes black and the intro plays on a constant loop. I have LCPD 1st responder, police helper and skins for Minnesota State Troopers. I am a newbie at modding and  I would appreciate any help or advice!

Try going to where you installed GTA:IV & launch (double-click on) LaunchGTAIV.exe

 

But make sure you're running the game as Admin, because otherwise lots of problems occur.

To run the game as Admin, right-click on LaunchGTAIV.exe & click "Run as Administrator", & then click Yes in the dialog box that opens.

(If it works & you don't want to right-click everytime, then right-click LaunchGTAIV.exe, click on Properties, go to Compatibility Tab, & tick mark the checkbox "Run this program as an Administrator", click Apply, then click Ok.)

Ok well I have started Gta and updated it, and windows live. I can get through the "Starting new game" and "The cousins Bellic" but it not at the "Loading..." part. It just keeps saying "Loading" no freeze, just an infinite Loading sign. I have left it for about 20 min and came back and it was still loading. I have no idea of what I should do. Thank you!

Try removing your save files. 

I havn't saved gta yet. And I try to lauch it from RGSC, but it says "Application Failed to Launch, this could be the result of it being blocked by Windows Parental Controls/Family Settings." But I am logged on as Administrator.
